Mary Funnell My name is Mary and I live and work in South Bedfordshire.
I am Person Centred qualified to level 4 and also am a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy). As well as my private work I also have experience of volunteer work with bereavement (Cruse trained) and at a Womens centre. I live and work in South Bedfordshire. The main emphasis of my work is Depression, Anxiety and Bereavement. I have also worked in special needs education for many years and am familiar with the many issues this rises for both child, family and others involved in the situation. I also have personal experience of dementia from within my family.
In my work with you my role will be to listen. Through a variety of different techniques you will be enabled to explore, discover and react to the different emotions you may be feeling about life and the issues you face in it. You may be aware of some of these emotions, but not others, which often arise in the counselling process. I will support you in the work we do together but I will not tell you what to do or offer advice. Counselling enables you to make those decisions and plans for your your own life. I can offer you a safe and confidential space in which to work. I value diversity and have met so many valued and different people through this work.
